29.06. – 01.07.2017 Conference: The Arab Spring and Syrian Crisis

The politics of Arab Spring affected Syria more deeply than any other Arab country. Almost 8 million Syrians have been internally displaced and further 4 million sought refuge outside of the country in the ensuing political conflicts between the Baathist Assad Regime and the Islamic oppositions including the Islamic terrorist and extremists groups. As a result of ongoing civil war, without a solution in sight, Syrians have become the largest ‘displaced people/refugees’ in the world within a short span of over 4 years. The conference, which will see the participation of experts from all over the world, is geared to address a number of relevant political and legal questions (including human rights issues) at an international and regional level.
